Taking off make-up is the most lazing job ever? And it’s about to be even get harder to let them go with these new beauty wisdom I learnt from the iconic make-up artist—Charlotte Tilbury.
Here’s the Make-up concept, from drab saggy face to a boyish, classic look.
First step is to prepare the skin for hydration with a moisturizer. Here she used Tom Ford Intensive Infusion Ultra Rich Moisturizer, but if you want something light I suggest Dr. Spiller.
Now use a primer to illuminate. I used to think that I don’t need primer but it turns out primer holds the foundation intact to the skin.
Here she used Tom Ford Illuminating Protective Primer, but like I said, every skin is unique (no, I didn’t said that until now) you can improvise by using a different brand that suits your skin better.
For a newbie like me in the world of make-up, there’s a new trend of putting a Illuminating highlighter (Illuminating highlighter? What the heck is that?).
What it does is it gives you a natural glowing look, more like a wet beach look.
In a nutshell, it makes you look fresh for a long period of time.
Use it down the nose and over the cheekbones.
Then pat it in the face. Now look at those shines, isn’t it amazing how it adds a minor detail to dull face?
When contouring the cheekbones always use the darker shade, suck in your cheekbones and follow your natural contour to give you a sculpted look.
For the brows fill in the arch then brush it. Thick lush eyebrows is the new feminine. Thanks to Lily Collins and Frida Kahlo.
Define the eyes with eyeliner and blend it with a smudging brush.
With the lips use nude and add a bit of powder. Nude has this reputation for not being too flashy. It’s for matte lips.
And that’s it just follow this and you won’t need to watch another boring basic make-up tutorial. You’re welcome.
Ohhh! Thanks to Ms.Tilbury’s inspiring beauty tutorial it’s one of a kind. You should really check her out on her own YouTube channel below.
